I guess it would be most appropriate to set lunch times with Opening Hours in Configure > Your Space.
It would be great to grey it out on the calendar, and really excellent to be able to notify people that they are attempting to book during lunch hours.

you mean that you’re closed mid-day? Yes, unfortunately you can’t set that in your opening hours yet, I’m sorry. I’ll add it to our list of requested features.

as promised, our latest release includes the ability to set multiple opening hours per day (for example for lunch breaks).
