The most recent update of Fabman introduced “training courses” to help you keep track of member trainings.
Most labs offer various training courses and – usually – they are mandatory for everyone who wants to use a particular equipment. But keeping track of who’s allowed to use which machine can be burdensome.
Fabman always allowed you to record each member’s completed trainings and prevent untrained people from using dangerous equipment. But you had to do it for every machine separately – even if you had several similar or identical ones.
Now you can create a training course, add all the equipment that’s covered and keep track of who has participated.
This helps everyone to keep their lab safe and organised with less effort.
And if you grow your lab and add another laser cutter? Just add it to your “Laser 101” course. Everyone who has previously completed the workshop will immediately be allowed to use the new cutter.
