Some of our users would like the same calendar view as admins have (without all the details).
This would allow them to see quickly which equipment is free and bookable, instead of going through the booking pages of each equipment one by one to check the availability.
I second this! It would be great for our members to see what is currently booked without broadcasting who is using the machine. We have always wanted to put a monitor or tv outside of our space to have a live calendar using the Outlook calendar but refrain from doing so because is states who is in and using the machine.
It’s not a perfect solution (we’re actually working on an update), but we have something like this. It’s a system that we put on TVs in the Makerspace, and it provides various information (bookings, out-of-order machines, upcoming trainings from Gcal, etc.). It’s written in PHP, so if you’d like to use it, here it is.
